The Town has adopted through the Charter a "Mayor-Council-Manager" form of government.

The Town Manager is the chief administrative officer of the Town. The Town Manager is responsible to the Council for the administration of all Town affairs and for carrying out policies adopted by the Council. The Town Manager position is nominated by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by a majority of the Council.
