Town Hosting Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast on January 15, 2018
 
Miami Lakes, FL - The Town of Miami Lakes Mayor Manny Cid, Town Council, and the Cultural Affairs Committee are honored to be hosting an inaugural Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast to commemorate his life, work, and ideals for peace and unity.

• Date: Monday, January 15, 2018
• Time: 9:00 am
• Location: Roberto Alonso Community Center, 16500 NW 87th Avenue
• Type of Event: FREE entry. Must RSVP by Wednesday, January 10th by contacting Nathalie Garcia at garcian@miamilakes-fl.gov or call (305) 364-6100.

The keynote speaker will be the prominent Miami Lakes resident and international orator Bishop Billy Baskin. Bishop Baskin has served as Senior Pastor of the New Way Fellowship Praise & Worship Church for more than 50 years. He has received his Doctorate and Master’s Degrees in Ministry from South Florida Theological Center. He also has a Master’s Degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University. In addition to presiding over his home church, Bishop Baskin has established ministries in Zimbabwe, the Caribbean, Russia, Johannesburg, and South Africa. He is a gifted theologian, charismatic, and thought-provoking speaker.
