Miami Lakes, FL - The Town of Miami Lakes and its Cultural Affairs Committee will host its 14th Annual Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks Show on Tuesday, July 4th beginning at 6:30 pm at Miami Lakes Picnic Park West, 15151 NW 82nd Avenue. This fun-filled event for the whole family will feature live entertainment, food trucks, and much more, followed by our spectacular fireworks presentation.
Sponsored by The Graham Companies, Mount Sinai Medical Center, and Florida Resort Xchange, headlining this year’s concert is South Florida's own Ellison Kendrick. Former backup singer for Grammy Award Winner, Joss Stone, Mr. Kendrick has gone on to release a solo project independently, a single he wrote called Black Suit, which peaked at number eleven on the Billboard Sales Chart. Ellison's dynamic career has led to him working with various artists such as international artist Enrique Iglesias and Hip-Hop artist DMX.
Additionally, we are proud to announce our national anthem will be sung by Tiffany Hall, a local Miami Lakes resident and winner of our National Anthem Auditions that were held on Thursday June 1st at Town Hall.
Don’t forget your blankets, chairs, and appetites for a great variety of food trucks! Make sure to stop by our photo booth by our photo booth to pick up your FREE “I Heart Miami Lakes” sunglasses and foam glow sticks, and mini American flags!
Admission and parking are free. Parking around the Picnic Park West perimeter is limited, we are encouraging all residents to walk or bike to the Park. The Town will also be providing free shuttle service from two locations beginning at 5:30pm:
Town Hall located at 6601 Main Street- Shuttle service will run every 20 minutes continuously until 8:00 pm.
Royal Oaks Park, located at 16500 NW 87th Avenue- Shuttle service will run every 10 minutes continuously until 8:00 pm
Shuttle service will resume after the fireworks show. The last bus will depart Picnic Park West at 11:00 pm.
