243px-All-America City LogoThe Town of Miami Lakes and its Sports Hall of Fame Committee is excited to announce its second call for Sports Hall of Fame Inductee Nominations! The Miami Lakes Sports Hall of Fame, an initiative brought forward by Mayor Manny Cid and supported by the Town Council, is located inside the new Miami Lakes Optimist Park Clubhouse at Miami Lakes Optimist Park, 6411 NW 162 Street. The inaugural class of inductees include former Miami Dolphins Head Coach Don Shula, former Miami Dolphins player and broadcaster Jim Mandich, former Major League Baseball player Alex Ochoa, and longtime Miami Lakes Optimist Club member Jack McCall.

Miami Lakes, FL –The Town of Miami Lakes and its Sports Hall of Fame Committee is excited to announce its second call for Sports Hall of Fame Inductee Nominations! The Miami Lakes Sports Hall of Fame, an initiative brought forward by Mayor Manny Cid and supported by the Town Council, is located inside the new Miami Lakes Optimist Park Clubhouse at Miami Lakes Optimist Park, 6411 NW 162 Street. The inaugural class of inductees include former Miami Dolphins Head Coach Don Shula, former Miami Dolphins player and broadcaster Jim Mandich, former Major League Baseball player Alex Ochoa, and longtime Miami Lakes Optimist Club member Jack McCall.

The Town and its Sports Hall of Fame Selection Committee are seeking nominations to honor athletes, coaches, community members and teams from the Town of Miami Lakes for their outstanding contributions or achievements in sports. Nominate an individual or Team that excelled and/or brought positive recognition to the Town. Now is the time to step up to the plate, submit a nominee, and recognize their hard work and dedication. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 6th.
