Announcing the Emergency Management and Mass Notification System
The system enables the Town to reach its citizens who have opted in to use the service online via different channels they chose to be contacted like text messages, emails, app notifications etc.
The Town will also start using the hashtag #AlertMiamiLakes to alert its citizens on social media.
HOW TO START RECEIVING ALERTS?
Step 1: Create an Online Profile
Citizens can go online and create their profile and opt-in to receive alerts from the Town during emergencies like severe weather, crime, public works announcements, or other critical events at www.MiamiLakes-FL.Gov/AlertMiamiLakes with their preferred phone, mobile phone, or email addresses.
Step 2: Download the Everbridge Mobile Application
Citizens can also download the Everbridge mobile application (optional, but recommended) on their mobile devices to start receiving geographically tagged emergency notifications in the Miami Lakes area. It is recommended to enable notifications on the mobile application so that you can be alerted if there is an emergency in that area.
