Early Presidential Voting in Miami Lakes
from March 2nd to March 15th
Miami Lakes, FL – Early voting for the Presidential Preference Primary Election will begin at the Mary Collins Community Center on March 2, 2020. Mary Collins Community Center is located at 15151 NW 82nd Avenue, Miami Lakes.
Early voting will be available to all citizens of Miami-Dade County at Mary Collins beginning March 2nd and ending March 15th. Early voting hours are as follows:
March 2 – March 6: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
March 7 – March 8: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
March 9 – March 13: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
March 14- March 15: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Florida has a “closed primary” which means that citizens must be registered with either the Democrat or Republic party in order to vote at the primaries. The deadline for voters to register to vote or update their party affiliation is February 18, 2020. Registering to vote is a right and is available to all persons over the age of 18 that are United States citizens who meet the requirements. You must live in Miami-Dade County to vote in Miami-Dade County. Election Day is on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 7 A.M. until 7 P.M.
To accommodate early voting, programs that are regularly held in rooms 1 and 2 of Mary Collins Community Center will be relocated from Tuesday, February 25th through Wednesday, March 18th to the Roberto Alonso Community Center at 16500 NW 87th Avenue, Miami Lakes. Classes will resume at the Mary Collins Community Center on Thursday, March 19th.
