Miami Lakes, FL -  On October 10, Councilman Nelson Rodriguez presented Mrs. Lissette Campos-Perez with a proclamation in honor of her being named The Tampa Chamber of Commerce and Hispanic Heritage Foundation Hispanic Woman and Business Woman of the Year.

Mrs. Campos was raised and educated in the Town of Miami Lakes and now serves as the Director of Community Affairs for ABC Action News Tampa. Mrs. Campos has received four Emmy Awards and over twenty local and National awards in TV Journalism. In addition, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will present Ms. Campos with a special Emmy Award for her 25 years in the business, during this ceremony to be held at the Westin Diplomat Resort in Hollywood Florida on November 23, 2013.

"The Proclamation during Hispanic Heritage Month, is given to her, as way of saying that the Town of Miami Lakes does not forget their former residents, who once lived and studied here in our Town, and made it big," said Councilman Rodriguez.
