TOWN'S BUILDING DEPARTMENT PROCEDURES IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19
All New permit applications and inspections will cease until Monday, April 13, 2020.
All active permits may continue unless an emergency declaration is issued that includes construction sites.
Town of Miami Lakes will accept 3rd party Professional Inspection Certifications (PE, RA) for all required in progress inspections. Final Inspections, Certificate of Occupancy (CO) and Certificate of Completion (CC) can be requested on or after April 13th, 2020.
Emergency repairs can be performed as per:
A]105.2.1 Emergency repairs.
Where equipment replacements and repairs must be performed in an emergency, the permit application shall be submitted within the next working business day to the building official (April 13th, 2020).
On April 10, 2020, you may request inspections via Trakit for April 13, 2020.
Complaints will be taken in via See Click Fix (Town APP) via email at Codecompliance@miamilakes-fl.gov or by phone, cases will be opened but will be followed up once we resume to normal operations on April 13th, 2020.
