20 Year History of Elected Officials

Miami Lakes, FL- The Town of Miami Lakes was incorporated on December 5, 2000, by a vote of the people, and marked the 20th anniversary of its incorporation in 2020. The Town will be celebrating throughout the year with special events, honoring our past, celebrating our presenting, and embracing our future. On December 5, 2020, the Town unveiled the 20th-anniversary logo which merges the original seal with the Town slogan "Growing Beautifull" and hangs above the council dais at Town Hall. 

As a tribute to the elected officials that have served the town in its first 20 years, Mayor Manny Cid will host a reception to honor their hard work and will present the Key to the Town to those early public servants. The Key to the Town honors distinguished persons, honored guests, and outstanding civic contributors to Miami Lakes. Photographs of the eighteen elected officials will be displayed in the Mayor's Conference Room.

The reception will air live on Facebook, YouTube, and the Town's website on January 12, 2021, at 6:00 pm.
