Get Ready for This Year's Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration: Experience Venezuela
Miami Lakes, FL - The Town of Miami Lakes and its Cultural Affairs Committee are excited to host this year's upcoming Hispanic Heritage Celebration on October 15th at 6:00pm! This is an annual event in line with Hispanic Heritage Month in the United States, which runs annually from September 15th to October 15th, in which we are able to recognize and honor the influence and contributions of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States. Last year, the Town celebrated Colombia in a rich and thoughtful celebration which brought the country's food, music, art, and history right here to Town Hall for all to celebrate.
This time around, the Town is highlighting Venezuela! This South American country, home to nearly 30 million people, is a vast and culturally rich place. Sitting just above the equator and at the top of the Andes Mountains, Venezuela is full of varied and biodiverse landscapes. To match, the country is home to many cultures, celebrations, and food. At this year's celebration, you will find some amazing food thanks to Francisca Charcoal Chicken & Meats, including:
- Pan de Bono
- Chicken with sides of coleslaw salad and ripe plantains
Also at this year's celebration, find treats from Gelato Gourmet Factory, music thanks to Dj Felix, socializing, education, and more! It is sure to be a special and unforgettable time... come experience Venezuela with us on October 15th at the Miami Lakes Town Hall—6601 Main St, Miami Lakes, FL 33014!
