The new Program, introduced by Vice Mayor Manny Cid, encourages reading through the use of technology and provides an opportunity for Miami Lakes residents to borrow an e-reader for free for a 3 week period of time and download free e-books.
"The E-Reader initiative kickoff and workshop was a great success," Vice Mayor Manny Cid said. "The MDPLS and Miami Lakes partnership will truly enhance our resident’s library experience."
Residents may check-out an e-reader at Town of Miami Lakes Government Center (6601 Main Street, Miami Lakes, FL 33014, 2nd floor reception) Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and must provide a valid photo ID, proof of residency, and a $20 cash refundable cash deposit.
