Miami Lakes, FL - The Town of Miami Lakes and its Veterans Committee invites you to join in the annual Tree Planting Ceremony taking place on Arbor Day, Friday, April 29th beginning at 6pm at the Picnic Park West, 15150 NW 82nd Avenue.
This annual celebration of Miami Lake’s trees is free and open to the public. Activities are suitable for all ages with a schedule of activities including a tree planting ceremony, information and educational materials for residents, as well as tree care demonstrations by the Town’s Arborist.
With more than 17,000, the beautiful canopy trees in Miami Lakes have long been the signature of the Town. The Town of Miami Lakes continues to be recognized for its abundant, beautiful tree canopy as well as its exceptional tree management practices, with both the Tree City USA Certification and Growth Award designation for this past year. This is the 8th consecutive year the Town has received the Tree City USA designation and the 6th consecutive year the Town has received the Growth Award. These designations are awarded to cities/towns for their excellence in urban forestry management.
