Miami Lakes, FL - The Town of Miami Lakes is honored to announce Mr. Gunny Jack Parsons as the Grand Marshal for the 37th Annual Miami Lakes Veterans Day Parade is taking place on Sunday, November 6th, beginning promptly at 10 am. Parsons enlisted in the Marine Corp April 1965 in Camden NJ, served in battle during Vietnam War and exposed to Agent Orange. He has served his community by serving as key note speakers at graduation speeches at dozens of local high schools. Before retiring he was a successful businessman and raised seven sons. He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Ward at Post 1966 and Golf Company 2-7 Vietnam Veterans Association.
This year’s parade is presented by the Town and its Veterans Affairs Committee and sponsored by the Graham Companies, Vista Funeral Home, and Miami Lakes Automall.
Parade watchers are encouraged to show their support by wearing red, white and blue attire and show your American pride! Wear your favorite patriotic colors, raise your American Flag high and show the nation how Miami Lakes honors and celebrates our military community!
