Miami Lakes, FL - Spearheaded by Councilman Frank Mingo, the Town of Miami Lakes will host a toy drive benefiting His House Children’s Home, Nicklaus Children's Hospital Miami Lakes Outpatient Center, and the U.S Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots. We are encouraging our residents to brighten a child’s spirits during the holiday season by dropping off toy donations at Town Hall through Friday, December 16th.
His House Children’s Home is a private, faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to restoring joy to the lives of children from newborn to 18 years of age. Since it was established in 1989, His House has been offering safe, caring homes to abused, abandoned and neglected children in South Florida.
Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, formerly Miami Children's Hospital, is a world leader in pediatric healthcare. The Miami Lakes Outpatient Center is one of nine comprehensive outpatient centers dedicated to exceeding the expectations of children and their families by providing world-class pediatric healthcare within the community.
The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas and to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children.
The Town of Miami Lakes graciously thanks all those who donate toys and wishes everyone a Happy Holiday Season!
