The Town of Miami Lakes and its Elderly Affairs Committee Force once again bring you the 3rd annual Family Health and Fitness Fair on Saturday, February 11th from 10AM to 1 PM at the Mary Collins Community Center, 15151 NW 82nd Avenue. This year’s fair is sponsored in part by Palmetto General Hospital, and the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce.

Last year’s event drew over 500 attendees to the completely sold out Health & Fitness Fair with more than 60 local businesses that educated attendees on preventive healthcare and sound health practices.  Nicklaus Children's Hospital in partnership with local non-profit organization, The Breanna Vergara Foundation, will again provide free EKG screenings for children. Palmetto General Hospital will also be providing free blood pressure and glucose screenings.

This year’s Fit Fair will be hosted in conjunction with

SUPER SATURDAY AT THE PARK:

Community Bike Ride: sponsored by the Town’s Neighborhood Improvement Committee - registration at 7:30AM; 5 mile family-friendly loop at 8AM

Farmers Market: 9AM – 1 PM

FREE classes and demos provided by the Town’s partnering organizations:

Yoga in the Park: 9-10AM; offered in partnership with local business 305 Yoga

Boot Camp: 10-11AM; offered in partnership with Fit Like Me Miami

Mommy & Me Programs demo: 10:30-11AM offered in partnership with PEAR Programs

Music & Video Production demo: 11-11:30AM offered in partnership with the Developing Dreams Foundation
