Ensure your golf cart meets all safety standards outlined in Town Code Section 39-50.

Insure your golf cart.
Contact your homeowners or automobile insurance company to ask about golf cart coverage.

Complete the application and affidavit.
Download the Golf Cart Permit Application and Affidavit using the button below, or pick up copies at Town Hall, 6601 Main Street, Miami Lakes, FL 33014. The affidavit must be notarized.

Submit your documents and payment.
Bring the following to the Building Department at Town Hall:
- Completed Golf Cart Permit Application
- Notarized Affidavit
- Proof of insurance
- Valid driver’s license
- One-time $50 application fee

Attach your registration permit.
Affix the Town-issued registration permit to the rear fender of your golf cart.
