As per Section 5.1(c) of the Town Charter, public notice is hereby given that a Special Election Runoff has been called and ordered to be held within the Town on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 to fill the vacancy of Seat 6 to Town Council.

Introduction

This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information by the Town of Miami Lakes Mobile App, also known as: Miami Lakes – CONNECT (“the App”), operated by the Town of Miami Lakes. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users, and this policy describes how we collect and use your personal information.

The Town of Miami Lakes is using SeeClickFix, an online and mobile service request system, to power its mobile app: Miami Lakes – CONNECT (the App) and reporting forms. SeeClickFix (app developer; parent organization CivicPlus, LLC), is an application that allows Miami Lakes residents to report non-emergency related issues. SeeClickFix can be used via the Web on a desktop computer, laptop, mobile phone, or tablet. SeeClickFix is a public application. The description entered will be visible to the public. Your display name will also be visible unless you choose to submit as Anonymous. Your email address will never be displayed publicly.

Collection of Personal Information

The App may collect personal information from users, including but not limited to name, address, phone number, email address, and location data. We collect this information to provide services to you and to communicate with you about our services.
We may also collect non-personal information, such as device information, usage data, and other information related to your interaction with the App. This information is collected automatically and is used to improve the App and our services.

Use of Personal Information

We may use your personal information to provide you with information about municipal services, to send you notifications and alerts, and to respond to your inquiries and requests. We may also use your information to conduct research and analysis to improve our services.

Disclosure of Personal Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may disclose your personal information to our service providers and partners who assist us in providing services to you. We may also disclose your personal information to law enforcement or other government agencies as required by law.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. In accordance with the Federal Children Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the App.
