Miami Lakes Education Advisory Board Opens Applications for Student Representative

Miami Lakes, FL – The Town of Miami Lakes Education Advisory Board is currently accepting applications for the Student Member position for 2024. This opportunity allows passionate students in Miami Lakes to participate in shaping the educational landscape of our vibrant community.

The student member is a non-voting member of the Board, and must be currently enrolled in a local Miami Lakes school. They will attend monthly Education Advisory Board meetings, read, research, and obtain answers related to Board agenda items, and disseminate information regarding items of interest to the student population. The student member must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0, have no “F” as a final grade, and no conduct grade below a “C”.

Committees in Miami Lakes, including all non-statutory committees, task forces and advisory boards, including Neighborhood Service District Advisory Boards, are established by the Town Council to make recommendations, advise the Council, and initiate programs in the Town.
