Gratigny Parkway Partial Interchange at NW 67th Avenue Project Development and Environment Study Public Hearing Notice
Wednesday, June 24, 2026 6pm - 9pm
PROJECT OVERVIEW
GMX is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study to evaluate a new partial interchange at SR 924/Gratigny Parkway and NW 67th Avenue/Ludlam Road. The Town of Miami Lakes presently lacks adequate connection to the surrounding expressway system. This has resulted in significant congestion and extended travel times along the primary arterials within the adjacent municipalities during the peak hours. The purpose of the proposed project is to improve system linkage and enhance accessibility to and from the expressway network primarily with SR 924/Gratigny Parkway. The study will evaluate ways to avoid, minimize or mitigate any potential impact in the adjacent areas.
PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT
GMX is committed to working with all stakeholders regarding the SR 924/Gratigny Parkway Partial Interchange at NW 67th Avenue/Ludlam Road. The purpose of this public hearing is to present the recommendations of the study and provide the public with an opportunity to express your views concerning the location, conceptual design, social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements. The draft project documents will be available for review from Wednesday June 3 to Wednesday July 8, 2026, excluding any major holidays at:
Town of Miami Lakes City Hall

CONCEPTUAL ALTERNATIVES
GMX has developed alternatives to improve system linkage and enhance accessibility for the Town of Miami Lakes and the City of Hialeah to and from the SR 924 / Gratigny Parkway via NW 67th Avenue / Ludlam Road and SR 916 / NW 138th Street. This new connection enhances regional connectivity to the expressway network while supporting additional access and travel choices for area residents and businesses. The recommended build alternative developed consists of a new partial interchange that includes a new westbound off ramp from SR 924 to NW 67th Avenue and a new movement from NW 67th Avenue to westbound SR 924 via a new on ramp along the Graham Dairy Canal. These two ramps require the realignment of the Graham Dairy canal. The third new access point consists of a new eastbound on ramp to SR 924 from NW 67th Avenue and NW 138th Street. The project includes the relocation of the existing mainline toll gantry east of its existing location to accommodate the construction of the new ramps.
