Town Honors Dorothy Cook with 2023 Arbor Day Ceremony Tree Planting

Miami Lakes, F.L. – The Town of Miami Lake, in collaboration with the Miami Lakes Garden Club, is set to honor the late Dorothy Cook on Arbor Day with the planting of an Oak tree outside of the Mary Collins Community Center (15151 NW 82nd Ave).

A resident of the Town since 1971, Dorothy exemplified was a model citizen, lifelong volunteer, part of the movement to incorporate Miami Lakes, and will forever be remembered as a person with a large heart that cared for her community.

This dedication and planting ceremony will take place at the Center on April 28th, 2023 at 10:30AM. For more information, please contact Andres Pineiro at pineiroa@miamilakes-fl.gov.
