Summer Camps Coming to Community Centers in Miami Lakes

Miami Lakes, FL – As the summer season approaches, the Town of Miami Lakes is excited to to announce the availability of three exciting summer camps for local youth to enjoy.

Camp offerings for 2026 include:

YMCA of South Florida (Soccer and Dance Camp)

Big friends, big moments, and big memories start at the YMCA of South Florida, where soccer and dance come together. Each week, campers build skills on the field through soccer training and teamwork-focused games, then express themselves in high-energy dance sessions that boost confidence, coordination, and creativity. With themed weeks, exciting activities, and a supportive team of coaches and instructors, campers stay engaged all day long. Lunch and
snack are included to keep everyone fueled for full days of movement, connection, and growth.

Location: Royal Oaks Park (16500 NW 87th Avenue)

Duration: June 8 – July 31 | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Eligibility: Welcoming Children in Grades K–8

Fees: $170/week for residents | $1213/week + $50 registration fee.

Camp Wannado Summer Camp

Camp Includes: Water Play Activities, Field Trips Every Week, Video Games, Cooking Activities, Arts and Crafts, 100% Recreational and much more!

Location: Miami Lakes Optimist Park (6411 NW 162nd Street)

Duration: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from June 8 – August 7

Fees: Registration is $36 | $155/week Per child (includes field trips) | Camp Shirt: $20

S.T.E.A.M. Camp: Invent, Explore, and Adventure with Pirates and Spies!

This summer, dive into a world of creativity, problem-solving, moving arts, dance and hands-on S.T.E.A.M. fun!

Location: Miami Lakes Youth Center (6075 Miami Lakes Drive)

Duration: June 16 – August 1 | Full Day: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Half Day: 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Eligibility: Ages 5–12

Fees: Full Day, Resident: $337.50* | Full Day, Non-resident: $375* | Half Day, Resident: $202.50* | Half Day, Non-resident: $225*
