Deadline Approaching for Miami Lakes Town Foundation 2026 Community Mini-Grants

Miami Lakes, FL – The Miami Lakes Town Foundation is reminding schools and nonprofit organizations that the deadline to apply for its 2026 Community Mini-Grant Awards is October 30, 2026.

The Community Mini-Grant Program provides funding to help bring local projects and initiatives to life, supporting efforts that strengthen community engagement, civic pride, and quality of life in Miami Lakes. Eligible projects may focus on education, literacy, youth development, beautification, environmental stewardship, cultural enrichment, and other initiatives that positively impact the community.

Funding for the Community Mini-Grant Program is made possible in part through proceeds from the annual Miami Lakes Food & Wine Festival. Through the generosity of sponsors, participating restaurants, attendees, and community partners, funds raised through the festival are reinvested back into the Miami Lakes community through programs such as the Community Mini-Grant Awards.

Applying is easy. The online application is organized into three simple steps and is designed to make it easy for organizations to tell the Foundation about their idea and the impact it could have in Miami Lakes. Applicants will be asked to:

1. Tell us about your organization – Provide basic applicant and organization information.
2. Tell us about your project – Describe the project, its goals, how it will benefit the community, and provide a letter of support and supporting documentation, including at least one written quote or estimate for the proposed project.
3. Tell us what you need – Provide the total project budget, the amount of grant funding requested, and information about any additional financial or in-kind contributions.

As part of the Foundation’s continued emphasis on kindness and community connection, special consideration will be given to applications that incorporate a “kindness component” by promoting compassion, inclusion, goodwill, and community unity.

Applicants do not need to have a complicated proposal or grant-writing experience to apply. The Foundation encourages eligible organizations with a meaningful idea for the Miami Lakes community to review the application and submit their project for consideration.

Important Dates:

• Application Deadline: October 30, 2026
• Announcement of Grant Awards: On or before November 12, 2026
• Check Presentations: December 16, 2026 – December 20, 2026
