Education Advisory Board Accepting 2024 Scholarship Applications

Miami Lakes, FL – The Town of Miami Lakes and its Education Advisory Board, in partnership with The Graham Companies, are excited to announce that they are accepting applications for the Miami Lakes Future Leaders Scholarship. The application is available online at miamilakes-fl.gov/eab and can be accessed here. Two scholarships, sponsored by The Graham Companies, in the amount of $1,500 each will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who reside in the Town of Miami Lakes.

The student must demonstrate academic achievement and community service commitment, as well as identify future goals. The winners will have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to their school and their community. Interested seniors must submit an application including:

• A completed cover sheet demonstrating a student’s residency & application checklist, containing
• A typed essay (750 words maximum) explaining in their own words how they aspire to make the world a better place.
• An official, sealed high school transcript
• Three letters of recommendation from non-relatives, one of which must be from a teacher or school official.

All completed applications must be received at Town Hall (6601 Main Street) by April 15, 2024. The Town’s Education Advisory Board will make their selection of the two recipients at their April Board meeting. The winners will be presented at the Education Advisory Board’s Annual Awards of Excellence Ceremony on May 10, 2024.
