Miami Lakes Town Council Approves Update to Beautification Master Plan

Miami Lakes, FL – The Town of Miami Lakes Town Council has approved the 2025 Beautification Master Plan Update, reaffirming the Town’s long-standing commitment to enhancing community aesthetics, preserving its mature tree canopy, and guiding thoughtful, sustainable improvements throughout public spaces.

Originally adopted in 2014, the Beautification Master Plan serves as a long-range framework for landscape enhancements at Town gateways, major and neighborhood roadways, parks, cul-de-sacs, intersections, and underpasses. The newly approved BMP documents more than a decade of progress, highlights completed projects and identifies future opportunities to continue beautifying Miami Lakes for generations to come.

Highlights of the 2025 Beautification Master Plan Update include:
• Expanded guidance for future public art and potential installation sites
• New opportunities to enhance underpasses through lighting and design
• Sustainable landscaping strategies that reduce irrigation needs
• Continued protection of Miami Lakes’ iconic tree canopy
