Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are accessible at select town parks and facilities. Here, you will find information on the where and how of AEDs and their administration.

What is an AED?

An AED, or Automated External Defibrillator, is a portable electronic device that can analyze the heart’s rhythm and deliver an electric shock to restore a normal heartbeat if someone is experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.

Why are AEDs important?

AEDs are crucial in saving lives during sudden cardiac emergencies. They provide an immediate response when someone’s heart suddenly stops beating effectively. Quick access to an AED, along with CPR, significantly increases the chances of survival.
