As per Section 5.1(c) of the Town Charter, public notice is hereby given that a Special Election Runoff has been called and ordered to be held within the Town on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 to fill the vacancy of Seat 6 to Town Council.

What is an AED?

An AED, or Automated External Defibrillator, is a portable electronic device that can analyze the heart’s rhythm and deliver an electric shock to restore a normal heartbeat if someone is experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.


Why are AEDs important?

AEDs are crucial in saving lives during sudden cardiac emergencies. They provide an immediate response when someone’s heart suddenly stops beating effectively. Quick access to an AED, along with CPR, significantly increases the chances of survival.


Where can you find AEDs in Miami Lakes?

AEDs are installed in the following locations in cases and display the AED symbol.

  • Miami Lakes Town Hall: 6601 Main Street
  • Miami Lakes Royal Oaks Park: 16500 NW 87th Avenue
  • Miami Lakes Optimist Park: 6411 NW 162nd Street
  • Miami Lakes Picnic Park East (located in the Youth Center): 6075 Miami Lakes Drive
