Youth Advisory Board

The mission of the Youth Advisory Board is to provide young people with a meaningful voice in Town government by sharing their perspectives on issues that affect youth, encouraging civic engagement, and advising the Town Council on matters relevant to Miami Lakes students and young residents.

Board Details

MEETING SCHEDULE: The Youth Advisory Board will meet monthly. Meeting dates, times, and locations will be posted by the Town. Meetings are held in Town Hall (6601 Main Street) in the Community Conference Room, Room 106.

MEMBERSHIP: The Youth Advisory Board shall be comprised of seven (7) members serving one-year terms. Applicants must be Miami Lakes residents or attend an eligible local school, maintain an unweighted GPA of at least 2.5, and submit a completed application signed by both the applicant and a parent or legal guardian. Preference will be given to Miami Lakes residents.
