Miami Lakes Launches Outreach Initiative to Connect Students and Educators with Grants, Scholarships, and Leadership Opportunities

Miami Lakes Launches Outreach Initiative to Connect Students and Educators with Grants, Scholarships, and Leadership Opportunities

October 19, 2026

Miami Lakes, FL – From funding for school clubs and classroom initiatives to scholarships and student leadership opportunities, the Town of Miami Lakes is working to ensure local students and educators have greater access to resources that support their success.

As part of this effort, the Town has developed a Student & Educator Opportunities Guide and is distributing it to local schools, leadership, administrators, and educators to increase awareness of available programs and encourage participation.

The initiative comes as two application deadlines approach: the Miami Lakes Town Foundation Community Mini-Grant Program, which provides funding for eligible educational and community projects, closes October 30, while the Paint the Station Art Competition, inviting student artists to contribute to a public art project, closes October 31.

Beyond these immediate opportunities, the guide highlights year-round and annual programs, including scholarships, student recognition, civic leadership, volunteer opportunities, and recreational enrichment.
