Town Seeks Sponsors for Rescue Ring Installation in Miami Lakes

Town Seeks Sponsors for Rescue Ring Installation in Miami Lakes

September 12, 2024

Miami Lakes, FL – In a dedicated effort to public safety around local waterways, the Town of Miami Lakes is partnering with the Aden Perry Good Samaritan and Scholarship Fund and the Town’s Neighborhood Improvement Committee to install life rings at several locations around town. The Town is seeking sponsors to support the installation of these life-saving devices, aimed at preventing tragic drowning incidents.

The organization — through its name and mission — honors Aden Perry, who tragically lost his life in a heroic attempt to save a driver whose car plunged into a lake in Sunrise, FL. The Fund was started by his mother, Sarah Perry, to ensure that that a would-be rescuer does not have to risk their lives in rescue attempts without proper safety measures in place.

Life rings will be placed in several locations around town, as shown above. The cost to fully fund and sponsor a ring is $395.00. If you are interested in supporting this initiative, please click here.
