Veterans Committee Launches Miami Lakes Veterans Families Scholarship

Miami Lakes, FL – The Veterans Committee is proud to announce the launch of the Miami Lakes Veterans Families Scholarship, an initiative aimed at supporting the educational aspirations of students in our community who are the children of veterans. This scholarship is made possible through the funds raised during the 2023 Reindeer Run 5k presented by Headquarter Toyota.

Scholarship Details:

  1. Eligibility
    • Student and veteran must both be residents of the Town of Miami Lakes
    • Veteran must have served honorably or under honorable conditions
    • Student must be:
      • A high school junior or senior in good academic standing, or
      • An adult child of a Miami Lakes veteran currently enrolled in a college, trade, or profession school, in good academic standing
  2. Application Process
    • The application for the Miami Lakes Veterans Families Scholarship can be found by visiting miamilakes-fl.gov/vc or by clicking here.
    • The deadline for submitting applications to Town Hall (6601 Main Street) is April 3, 2024.
