The Public Safety Committee is dedicated to working with local law enforcement and emergency response officials through community awareness, prevention, recommendations, and education. We are committed to recognizing the efforts of citizens, local law enforcement, and emergency response officials who go above and beyond to protect our community. The Public Safety Committee meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m., subject to change.

Please be advised that a Special Call Meeting of the Town Council & Swearing-in Ceremony will be held on December 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall (6601 Main Street). In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special accommodations to participate in the proceedings should call Town Hall at 305-364-6100 no later than two (2) days before the proceedings for assistance. All interested parties may appear at the time and place specified. Residents are invited to attend in-person or watch online. Meetings are broadcasted on YouTube (@MiamiLakesFL) and eScribe.

The Elderly Affairs Committee was created to assist the Town with identifying the needs of the elderly residents in Miami Lakes. The Committee focuses on the development of programs serving the elderly, such as the Senior Health and Wellness Fair, Community Forums, and Social Events.

The mission of the Town of Miami Lakes Cultural Affairs Committee is to provide and promote cultural activities within the Town of Miami Lakes for the benefit and education of its citizens and those in the surrounding communities. The Cultural Affairs Committee meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m., subject to change.
