He was also selected to participate in a summer camp at Miami Dade College with the FBI and was given an award for being the top of his class.

Community Members Recognized for Their Dedication and Achievement at the October Council Meeting

Miami Lakes, FL -At the October 3rd Council Meeting, several community members were recognized for their accomplishments and community support:

Frank Nichols Indiero, Barbara Goleman Senior High School student, was recognized for being Mayor Cid’s second “Mayor of the Day.” He was chosen due to his efforts with the National Security Intelligence Academy. He was also selected to participate in a summer camp at Miami Dade College with the FBI and was given an award for being the top of his class.

Mr. Ramiro Iguanzo was honored for his outstanding dedication to his Miami Lakes community and for his commitment to engaging the youth of Bob Graham Education Center in the Civic Education Academy program. In August, Mr. Iguanzo coordinated a panel discussion Senator Bob Graham, along with the Mayor and Council. The students were given the opportunity to learn about local government first-hand from elected officials and were encouraged to aspire to run for public office.

Stu Wylie, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Graham Companies, was commended for helping Miami Lakes elderly residents Maria and Eduardo Caces. Mr. and Mrs. Caces who were in poor condition due to their home being without power after Hurricane Irma. Mr. Stu Wyllie took it upon himself to provide a room to The Caces at the Shula’s Hotel on Main Street.

Lastly, Dr. Carmen Crespi, Miami Lakes resident and owner of Lakes Orthodontics, was applauded for reaching a milestone of servicing 12,000 patients during her career. She grew up in the Town of Miami Lakes and knew at the start of her Orthodontic career she wanted to open her practice in her hometown.
