Informed by recommendations from health experts, the Town of Miami Lakes is moving to a new normal and easing restrictions on select parks and trails for passive activities and limited recreation.
Patrons are encouraged to use parks for individual and family passive and limited activities.
Current CDC and State Health Department guidelines regarding the use of masks, 6 feet of social distancing between individuals and limiting large groups, must be followed.
Town of Miami Lakes Parks and Recreation will have LIMITED ACTIVITIES until further notice.

LIMITED ACTIVITIES USE REMINDER
Picnic Park West, Royal Oaks Park, and Optimist Park will be open from Sunrise to Sunset, for limited activities use by individuals and families, as permitted by and following current CDC and State Health Department guidelines.
Parks staff may limit the number of persons using trails and paths in order to ensure social distancing is maintained and may limit the time any person spends on such trail or path in order to ensure access to such facilities to other patrons.
Vehicle parking capacity in parks may be limited, as necessary, to adhere to CDC social distancing guidelines.
Restrooms will be open with attendants to regulate the use and will take extra measures to keep open facilities clean.
All passive uses of a park are allowed if social distancing is maintained, EXCEPT table games, picnics, and parties are not allowed. No portable furniture, blankets, picnic tables, tents, or grills permitted.
Persons engaged in any otherwise allowed activity who are not observing social distancing may be required to leave the park or be subject to the penalties proscribed in section 8B‐12 of the Code of Miami‐Dade County.
