September 11th Remembrance Day

Never Forget: Town of Miami Lakes to host memorial for victims of 9/11

Miami Lakes, FL – On September 11, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. at Picnic Park West, the Town of Miami Lakes will hold a memorial for the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives as a result of terrorist attacks 20 years ago.

2,977 flag will be planted on the Picnic Park West lawn in memory of each person who passed away after hijacked planes crashed into New York’s World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. The ceremony will be led by Veterans Committee Chairperson, Lt. Colonel Michael Coote.

This year’s tributary event is made possible by the Town of Miami Lakes Veterans Committee and Pharma Natural® Natural Health Solutions.

For more information on the Veterans Committee or the 9/11 Memorial, please contact William Sanchez, Veterans Affairs Liaison via email at sanchezw@miamilakes-fl.gov.
