243px-All-America City LogoThe Town of Miami Lakes invites the community to attend a Town Hall meeting on the Greenways and Trails Master Plan presented by the Director of Community & Leisure Services Tony Lopez, at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, October 7 in the Council Chamber of Town Hall, 6601 Main Street, Miami Lakes.The Town of Miami Lakes received grant funding through the Miami-Dade Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) to develop a Greenways and Trails Master Plan to create a non-motorized transportation system to connect communities, schools, parks, and businesses.

Halloween Senior Social Howls on Oct. 18

Miami Lakes, FL - The Town of Miami Lakes and its Elderly Affairs Committee are excited to announce the Halloween Senior Social from 11 am to 2 pm on Saturday, October 18 at the Roberto Alonso Community Center, 16500 NW 87th Avenue, in Miami Lakes.

The event is free and will feature music, entertainment, raffles, and a delicious lunch. Everyone is invited to come and celebrate All Hallows Eve with the Town for what will be a great day of dancing, contests and a chance to meet new people. Sponsorships opportunities are still available.

Prizes for best costume will be given for the following categories: Best female, Best male, and Best couple. Be sure to come dressed to impress!

Space is limited and reservations are required to attend. Seniors wishing to attend are kindly asked to reserve seating and/or transportation by calling (305) 364-6100 before Friday, October 10.
