Committees & Board
Application Process Open
Residents who are interested in serving on Town advisory boards and committees can nominate themselves for board positions. Residents with the time, ability, and desire to actively participate on these boards are asked to apply online.
For eligibility and qualification requirements please refer to the Committee Rules, Regulations and Procedure (Resolution 23-1885).

Application Process Open
The Youth Council is comprised of “The Spot” participants who wish to help “govern” the Youth Center internally. The Youth Council will provide participants with opportunities to assume leadership roles while building valuable skills. The Youth Council meets monthly to discuss the overall progress of the Youth Center from the participant’s perspective, and discuss ideas for Open Hang night themes, field trip locations and future programming.

Jerry’s Squad
Application Process Open
In preparation for a hurricane or major storm, Jerry’s Squad, matches local volunteers with seniors or disabled Miami Lakes residents who require assistance to prepare their homes, when there is an active hurricane warning for the area. Those interested in volunteering must be at least 18 years of age and submit an online application.

Volunteer Task:
The Public Safety Committee is seeking volunteers to assist with pedestrian safety during the Back to Nature Earth Day shredding event near the Miami Lakes Farmer’s Market on April 18th. Volunteers will help guide attendees across the street at the Meadow Walk and Bull Run Road intersection from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
